Terms and Conditions

(Drawn up in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code – Legislative Decree 206/2005 and applicable Italian legislation)

1. Subject matter and scope

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website www.ristorantealcide.com (hereinafter, the "Website") as well as the table reservation services, information requests and any ancillary services offered by:

Accessing the Website and using the services constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, you are invited not to use the Website.


2. Nature of the services offered

The Website has an informational purpose and allows:

  • viewing information about the restaurant, menus and events;
  • sending information requests;
  • making online table reservations.

The Restaurant reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, even without notice, any Website functionality for technical or organisational reasons.

Any third-party reservation systems operate as external data processors pursuant to the GDPR.


3. Reservation procedure and confirmation

A reservation is considered confirmed only upon express confirmation from the Restaurant, sent by email or other indicated means.

The Restaurant reserves the right to:

  • request telephone confirmation;
  • cancel incomplete reservations or those containing incorrect information;
  • decline reservations in the event of unavailability or organisational reasons.

In the event of a delay of more than 15 minutes beyond the booked time without prior notice, the Restaurant reserves the right to reassign the table.


4. Allergies, intolerances and guest responsibility

Guests are required to inform the Restaurant of any allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements before ordering.

In the absence of prior notification, the Restaurant cannot be held responsible for any reactions arising from the presence of ingredients in the dishes served.

Although internal control procedures are in place, the complete absence of cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed.


5. Group bookings and events – Confirmation deposit

For large group bookings, private events or special occasions (public holidays, celebrations, special menus), the Restaurant may request the payment of a confirmation deposit.

In the event of cancellation beyond the communicated deadline or a no-show, the deposit may be retained pursuant to Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code.

The final number of attendees must be communicated by the deadline indicated; otherwise, the confirmed number will be used for billing purposes.


6. Cancellation and no-show policy

Guests are required to communicate any cancellations with reasonable notice.

In the event of:

  • a no-show;
  • late cancellation beyond the communicated deadline;
  • a significant reduction in the number of covers without prior notice;

the Restaurant reserves the right to apply penalties or retain any sums paid, if previously communicated.

The Restaurant may also restrict future reservations from guests responsible for repeated no-shows.


7. Proper use of the Website

It is prohibited to use the Website for:

  • fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
  • submitting false or misleading information;
  • attempting to compromise IT security.

The Restaurant is not responsible for any malfunctions arising from technical causes, maintenance or force majeure events.


8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ristorante Alcide cannot be held liable for:

  • indirect or consequential damages;
  • service disruptions attributable to external providers;
  • internet outages;
  • extraordinary events or force majeure.

Liability in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence remains unaffected.


9. Intellectual property

All content on the Website (texts, images, photographs, trademarks, logos, graphic layout and code) is the exclusive property of Ristorante Alcide or the respective rights holders.

Any reproduction, modification, distribution or unauthorised use, even partial, of the content without written consent is prohibited.


10. Personal data processing

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national legislation.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.

For any disputes, the Court of Siena shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory contrary provisions of law.
